If you love to use your GPS to discover new places, then you’ll find Baie-des-Chaleurs an ideal tourist destination!
Explore our four theme-related routes that will allow you to discover the tourist attractions and sites located in the Regional County Municipalities of Avignon and Bonaventure.
Learn what makes Baie-des-Chaleurs the region it is today by exploring the "route des Musées et de l’Histoire" (Museum and History Route), which recounts the origins of Baie-des-Chaleurs. The "route des Baignades" (Swimming Route) will allow you to discover our region’s seaside towns and villages and encourage you to enjoy the bodies of water located here. The "route de la Pêche" (Fishing Route) will provide you with an excuse to seek out one of the many species of fish that can be found in our waters. Lastly, the "route de la Famille" (Family Route) contains little treasures and intimate spaces allowing you to enjoy quality time with your family, friends, or that special someone.
We would like to thank geographer Geneviève Dupont for writing a research paper on the Baie-des-Chaleurs ecotourism trails. In addition, this project was initiated entirely by the SADC de Baie-des-Chaleurs (Community Futures Development Corporation).
Given that this product is brand new, please send us your feedback and suggestions after you have explored these routes. This will enable us to improve the concept and develop it further.

This project was created mainly for a car GPS, Garmin type (Nuvi & Street pilot). These GPS units

We also offer the opportunity to download a "way point" file for all other GPS Garmin model ("Map source" software required). You may use the "PDF" document to guide you toward your journey.
